Why you shouldn’t delay your treatment?

Often there are situations where treatment of tooth decay is not enough, because the tooth is so decayed that the pulp (innervated tissue inside the tooth) becomes infected. In such cases, root canal treatment may be necessary. Patients who do not care about oral hygiene and delay dental appointments may be faced with a situation where a decayed tooth is so badly damaged that the only treatment option available is removal.

Remember about checkups!

In treatment of tooth decay, it is very important to attend regular checkups at your dentist, ideally every 6 months. The checkups will allow your dentist to detect tooth decay earlier and prevent further problems, such as necessary root canal treatment apart from treatment of tooth decay. This is why you should see your dentist regularly!
